We would like to thank everyone who showed their support for the Can Film Festival which took place during May in London, Glasgow and Manchester.

The festival was organised to highlight the importance of recycling drinks cans and to encourage people to do more for a brighter future.

Film fanatics were invited to special screenings of Leonardo Di Caprio’s, The 11th Hour, a film which explores the impact that the population has on the earth’s ecosystem and the changes that must be made to guarantee the future of our planet. Admission into the cinema was free of charge but viewers were encouraged to bring along an empty drinks can as entry.

The festival was a great success and we were very pleased that so many people attended the screenings and brought along drinks cans for recycling.

Amongst the viewers in London, was BBC Radio One’s film critic James King, who addressed the audience and also showed his support for recycling.

James King commented . . .
“The great thing about The Can Film Festival is it brought people together and encouraged recycling. It also highlighted the fact that recycling is simple. The drinks can is not only 100% recyclable but also infinitely recyclable and helps save energy”

Listen To James

We hope that everyone will continue to recycle their drinks cans. They are a great form of packaging as they are both 100% and infinitely recyclable. One recycled drinks can will also substantially reduce the carbon footprint of the next can produced.

Watch this space for future events but check out some photos from the London event………
